About the Cheesemakers:
The Grafton Cooperative Cheese Company was founded in 1892 by Vermont dairy farmers who pooled their extra milk together to make cheese. Their cheese factory was destroyed in 1912, and not restored until the 1960s. Today, the milk still comes from family dairy farms throughout the state of Vermont. Grafton's Master Cheesemaker is Scott Fletcher and he and his team make approximately 8,000 pounds of Grafton cheese a day.
